Anglo-Saxon girdle hanger fragment
Description
English: Incomplete girdle hanger. Only the upper part of the hanger remains, comprising an expanding rectangular sectioned shank with integral suspension loop set at a right angle to the face of the shank. The shank is decorated with nine moulded collars, each slightly thicker than the collar preceding it. Two sets of double incised lines are located below the collars, and below these is a double row of punched circles.
