Anglo Saxon buckle
Description
English: A cast copper-alloy buckle. The plate is triangular in outline and has curved expansions on each side to accommodate two domed studs with collars. One of the studs contains a red garnet while the other one is empty. The plate ends with a circular terminal containing a larger domed stud with a collar and a red garnet. The opposite end of the plate has a hinge projecting from the plate, folded back and slotted to receive the pin. Both the buckle frame and the pin are missing. The length is 41.0mm, the width is 13.4mm and the weight is 6.23g.
