This grand variety has only been brought to its present stage of perfection by the most careful methods of cultivation. It is an im- provement over all others of the White Spine family, and is positively the best variety for greenhouse culture, and we stand back of this guarantee. Us© it and you'll be satisfied. The hardy, vigorous vines produce an enormous crop of perfectly smooth, very dark green, hand- some fruit, measuring from 10 to 18 inches long. The fruit, too, is always straight, remains green until ripe and is very solid. When sliced, you will find the flesh of a transparent, sparkling white, firm, crisp, juicy and of the most de- licious flavor. The flesh, moreover, is abnor- mally thick, the seed being scarce and exceed- ingly small. Pride of the Pacific is a favorite both among gardeners and families, and is always a big market seller. It brings the highest market price, positively bearing no misshapen or dis- figured fruit; is mildew proof and a prolific bearer. LILLY'S PICKLING CUCUMBER An exceptionally good cucumber for pickling. The fruit, set thick, are closely covered with small spines, and are just right for making large pickles or small gherkins. Vines are hardy, vigorous growers, and produce an abund- ance of cucumbers, which are rather thick, very symmetrical, crisp and of the most delicious flavor. The young fruits possess that ..distinct- ly roughened surface so greatly"'desired for small pickles. The full grown fruit averages about 10 inches in length and from 2 to 2V2 inches in diameter.
