They grow large, round-shape, flat- tened at both ends, skin and flesh green, of rich sugary flavor. Christopher Columbus—A very distinct variety. The large size and peculiar external appearance so remarkably distinct from any other sort, In connection with its extraor- dinary fine eating quality, which excels all others, and its fine grained and thick flesh, proclaims it a popular favorite wherever introduced. Flesh green. Size v convenient for market. Medium '/Ja. early. A splendid shipper. Pkt. 5c oz. 15c, M lb. 40c, lb. $1.00 Improved Montreal Market— A magnificent musk melon. The fruit is round and flattened as is shown in the illustration, deeply and regularly rib- bed, skin and flesh green; densely netted; ex- tremely thick flesh of exquisite flavor. Fre- quently grow to weigh more than 30 lbs. Improved Banana—Frequently as many as a dozen melons will be borne on a single vine, all measuring over 25 in. Flesh very thick, almost solid; salmon color, and more delicious than any other musk melon when thoroughly ripe. A great novelty and sure to interest andplease. Try it. Shnmway's Giant—The largest melon ever in- troduced. Seeds are four times as large as other melons, thus proclaiming them a distinct sort. The melons average as large as half bushel measures. Outside green, turning white Cream when ripe. Salmon-colored flesh. The finest exhibition melon. r*ht. 5c, oz. 15c, M lb. 40c, lb. $1.00. Delmontoo-The flesh is of abeautiful orange pink, and for quality is among the very best. A grand melon. Osage—Extensively grown. Very popular. Medium size, egg-shaped. Skin is very thin, dark green color, slightly net- ted; flesh salmon-color, lusciously sweet and spicy. EIHEBALD GEM—About the size of O. K. Netted Gem, but the skin is smooth and of a deep green color. Flesh salmon, very thick, quality superb, yields heavy crops. Prolific Nutmeg—Large growth, fine form, skin and flesh green; very delicious. Bay View—Light green, flesh very thick, lus- yM cious and sweet. Size large, Well known popu- lar sort. Cassaba—Very large, oblong, netted skin, ex- cellent flavor. Acme, or Baltimore—Very productive, ob- long. Of large size, ribbed, and heavily netted. A good shipper. Flesh thick, lighL green and of good quality. Banquet—Medium size. The flesh uniformly deep and of that granulated character that always indicates a good melon; color, a dark rich salmon.
