miscellaneous Bulbs. DOUBLE TUBEROSE. The Tuberose, being a native of a tropical climate, requires the extreme heat of Summer, and will not bloom till late unless started in the forcing-house or hot-bed in February or March. They may be transferred to open ground after the soil has become warm and settled Summer weather prevails. The bulbs are extremely sensitive; a slight freezing destroys the crown or heart. Care should be exer- cised in selecting the bulbs, as good, hard, sound ones only will bear satisfactory blooms. They want plenty of water when growing, and any rich, light, sandy loam, in a sunny exposure, will suit them. Large Flowering Roots. Each, 3c; doz., 25c; per 100, $1.50. Dwarf Pearl Roots. Each, 3c; doz., 25c; per 100, $1.50. CALADIUH One of the largest of ornamental foliage plants, grows in any garden soil, and when full size stands four or five feet high, with immense leaves, often measuring four feet in length, by two and a half in breadth.
