Title
Annular buckle
Description
English: An incomplete cast copper alloy annular buckle, with pin now missing (diameter: 42.9mm; thickness: 4.1mm; weight: 12.41g). With a reasonably flat section, this artefact has two small areas of wear and corrosion, possibly where the pin would have originally rested (now missing). The frame is slightly distorted in shape. The artefact is slightly worn but in a fair condition with a dark green patina.

Similar examples are illustrated in Egan & Pritchard's 'Dress Accessories 1150-1450: Medieval Finds from Excavations in London: 3', 2002 edition, pages 57-8, and date from the 13th/ 14th century AD.
