English: Applying some pressure to Mineman Third Class Bryan Gentry is Kansas City, Missouri native Brad Hurshey, a Hull Technician Second Class, April 16, 2003. Both are members of the Auxillary Security Force, Naval Station Ingleside, Texas that is being trained how to properly restrain and handcuff suspects. ASF personnel are made up of volunteers from all units aboard a naval station or vessel and are primarily used to augment the embarked Master-at-Arms force or Ships Self Defense Force during heightenedstates of security. ASF volunteers receive two weeks of training provided by U.S.M.C. instructors and continually receive refresher training to keep their skills and qualifications current.
