A preliminary study of comparativecosts between a steel frame and a concreteframe showed a difference of 1/10 of onecent per square foot in favor of steel. Thisdiflference, however, changed in favor ofreinforced concrete arches if the structural was left in the exterior walls along the bot-tom hinge until all the concrete walls werepoured and the roof tiles set.
