ontributed byMr. Craiger to this issue of TheArena are much better cartoonsthan many dealing with the insur-ance rascality as recently exposed bythe New York Legislative Commit-tee, and the Presidents expresseddetermination to secure effective rail-way-rate regulation. In the peacecartoon the artist employs the well-known face of the President in amanner very similar to some of Mr.De Mars effective work. Thesedrawings are but a few of some ex-cellent outline cartoons submitted forThe Arena by Mr. Craiger whichwe think promise much for theyoung cartoonist in the future. Unless we greatly mistake his char-acter, he will steadily grow in effici-ency, and if he secures positionswith journals where the higher pa-triotism or moral idealism is allowed to havefull play, we believe he will do far more thanclever work of the order that meets the wishesof the secret sustainers of the organs of specialprivilege.
