The other end of the suture, whichpasses through the tendon, is then laid over the former andtied, drawing the tendon and, with it, the conjunctiva for-ward as far as the fixation-suture. I have used this method of Princes almost exclusively for manyyears whenever I have had to do an advancement, and have always hadgood results with it. Occasionally I modify the ligation of the suturesby simply tying the two ends of the suture which passes through thetendon with the two ends of the fixation-suture, the operator and theassistant making uniform traction on the sutures. In this way thetendon is spread out a little more as it is drawn forward. 6.
