English: Marines with Alpha Company, 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, splashed out to sea and headed toward the USS Whidbey Island. The Marines staged their assault amphibious vehicles so they could conduct the ship operations off the coast of Camp Lejeune, N.C., Sept. 10, 2014. Marines with the company spent two days on Onslow Beach testing their AAVs before taking them out to sea to board the USS Whidbey Island in order to conduct ship operations.
