Description
Deutsch: Naturdenkmal 1.3.2.2.4 „Geologischer Aufschluss Steinbruch Vorhalle“ in Hagen, Sporbecker Weg. Der ehemalige Ziegelei-Steinbruch ist eine der wichtigsten Fossilfundstellen in Deutschland. Die hier aufgeschlossenen Sedimente aus Schieferton mit eingelagertem Grauwackesandstein des unteren Oberkarbon (Namur B) wurden vor etwa 319 Millionen Jahren im Bereich einer Lagune und eines Großen Flußdeltas abgelagert. Die anzutreffenden Faltenbilder und Gebirgsstörungen sind als Vorhaller Schichten bekannt. 2006 als „Nationaler Geotop“ ausgezeichnet. Foto: Sattel im Steinbruch.
