Automobile road from Pasadena to Mount Wilson, 1922
Strip map of automobile route from Pasadena to Mount Wilson. Includes Echo Rock (top), Pasadena (bottom), Altadena Country Club (left), Orchard Camp (right). Due north is about 45 degrees left of vertical. Principal features: municipalities, roads, railroads, road names, mileages, geographic features, services, elevations. Other prominent locations: Carnegie Observatory, Strains Camp, Martins Camp, Mount Harvard, the desert, Halfway House, Henniger Flats, Eaton Wash, Toll house, Lamanda Park, Auto Club of Southern California branch office. Printed at the bottom is and "501" and "Brown". Printed at the bottom, outside the map itself, is "37", "822" and "Help prevent fires". On the verso is a notice to look for official hotels and garages and a list of 1 hotel and 5 garages in Pasadena and Lamanda as well as the address of the Pasadena branch office of the Auto Club.
