Description
English: Flint awl, trapezoid in plan and convex concave in profile. On the dorsal side the right edge of the distal tip is retouched. The proximal end is impact fractured. The right margin has a spalled section midway and a snapped edge with some retouch. The left margin is retouched with a sharp edge. On the ventral side the upper right margin is retouched and the left margin is damaged. The proximal end has an impact fractured by the bulb of percussion.

The flint is mid grey with a large area of light grey inclusion. The dorsal side has a marked lustre.

Bond (2004) illustrates a similar example on page 152, Fig. 5.136, No. F.157 which is dated to the Bronze Age period.
