Title
Awl
Description
English: Flint awl, teardrop-shaped in plan, bi-convex in section. There is a point at the distal end created by retouch on either side. On the dorsal face nibbled retouch can be seen along the left margin from the distal point for about two-thirds of its length. The right margin is sharp and the proximal end has been snapped. The flint is grey and is tertiary because it lacks cortex.

Mercer (1981) shows a similar tool on page 137, Figure 60, Number L159.
