Title
Awl
Description
English: Flint awl, sub-triangular in plan and bi-convex in section. It has a sharp distal point, created by bifacial retouch. On the dorsal face the left margin has a broad indentation between the distal point and the left side of the proximal end. The proximal end is snapped. The flint is light brown and classed as tertiary because of the absence of cortex.

Butler (2005) has a similar example on page 169, Figure 71, Number 1.
