Title
Awl
Description
English: Flint awl, sub-rectangular in plan, plano-convex in section. On the dorsal face, the otherwise squared off distal edge has a sharp point on the left. The left margin is serrated and straight; the right is curved and serrated. It is truncated at the proximal end. The creation of the point makes it likely to have been an awl. the flint is grey, without cortex so it is tertiary.

Butler (2005) has a similar awl on page 129, Figure 54, Number 1.
