Description
English: Iron awl, dating to the medieval/post medieval period. The awl has a wooden handle, which is held in place by three copper alloy rivit, there is a cap at the top of the handle, which is all one piece, and has a rounded knop at the top of the cap. The awl is scale tanged, and circular in section. It taper from 9mm - 2mm at the point.
