Description
English: Iron awl dating to the medieval period. The awl is circular in section, it is tanged and leads to a wooden handle which is attached by two iron rivits. The handle has a copper alloy cap which has a cross on each face and the top. The awls tapers from 7.5mm at the top of the handle to 1.5mm at the tip.
