Description
English: A medieval copper-alloy single looped buckle, dating to AD 1350-1400. The frame is oval in plan, convex at the front and bevelled at the rear. The pin rest is decorated with three moulded lines. It has a narrow offset bar which is flanked by small knops. The pin remains and is bent around the offset bar and tapers to a blunted point.The buckle has a dark green patina, the pin is a much lighter green.
