An incomplete copper alloy double loop asymmetrical buckle. This plain buckle has a D shaped loop and a rectangular loop, the outer edges of the buckle are bevelled. The pin bar is broadly triangular in cross section, the pin is missing.

Buckles like these date from c.1575 to 1700. cf. Whitehead.R. Page 90 No.561.Buckles 1250-1800.
