Description
English:

Extremely well preserved tinned cast copper alloy shoe buckle dating from the early modern period, c. AD1690-1720. The buckle frame survives in excellent condition with sharp edges and a shiny silver patina. The spindle and tongue survive partly, but show much corrosion. The frame is rectangular in shape with pointy corners and curved sides. The top of the frame is set apart from the lower part of the frame and the upper rim is decorated with short notches.
