He then traced the history ofthe Cincinnati Southern Railroad, which,he stated, is a $60,000,000 concern, has a$20,000,000 bonded indebtedness, and givesto the city of Cincinnati from $400,000 to$500,000 profit annually. He also siidthat he knew that both Mr. Galloway andMr. Fries had for years been doing all theyreasonably could to see that Cincinnatigot its much needed union station, andsuggested that if this station were erectedas proposed, no finer monument couldsymbolize the interest taken in it by thesetwo officers.
