62 The W. W. Barnard Co., 231-235 W. Madison St, Chicago NASTURTIUMS For ease of culture, duration of bloom, brilliancy of coloring and general excellence, nothing excels Nastur- tiums. All they need is a moderately good soil in a well-drained sunny position, and from within a few weeks from the time they are sown until hard frost comes there is an endless profusion of blossoms. The varieties offered were selected from a number of sorts as being the best. Sow seed 2 inches deep and thin plants to 8 inches apart for Dwarf Varieties and 10 to 20 inches apart for Tall or Climbing Varieties. TALL, OR CLIMBING VARIETIES Luxurious climbers for verandas, trellises, etc. May be used to cover unsightly railings and to trail over rough ground with fine effect. The seedpods can be gathered while green and are fine for mixed pickles. 3421—Barnard's "Royal Mixture" Tall Nastur- tiums. A gorgeous mixture. It con- tains all the new Giant Flowering- kinds.
