Description |
English: Post-Medieval (c. 1700-1900) cast copper alloy key, probably for winding a clock. The head is double oval, with a cylindrical stem attached centrally at the bottom. It has a collar close to the head and the stem terminates in a rectangular open box recess. It has a green patina with patches of corrosion, otherwise it is complete and in fair condition. The total length is 54mm, the head is 34mm width and 22mm in depth. The terminal open-ended rectangular box is 11mm x 9mm. It weighs 23.8g. |
