It was found comparatively easy to train intelHgentenhsted men to perform most of the routine proceduresof chnical pathology and it was the expressed opinionof several of the chnicians that blood counts were donemore accurately here than they were usually done BASE HOSPITAL NO. 9, A. E. F. 221 in civil hospitals when carried out by junior internes.With time they were also trained to do a great dealof the bacteriology and the Wassermann reactions.The work asked for was thus carried out. If it hadbeen possible to enlarge the staff more work could havebeen done, but it is our opinion that no essentialprocedure and few of those desirable were omitted. 3432
