Joining the Wisconsin TelephoneCompany in 1917, as transmission and pro-tection man, he took a year out to com-plete work for his B.S. degree, returned tothe company in 1921, and subsequently be-came transmission and protection engineerand, in 1928, transmission engineer. In1930 he moved to New York and A. T.& T., where he was an O. Sc E. group headin the plant engineering division, and laterin charge of groups handling electrical co-ordination and toll transmission. For threeyears he has held the position of transmis-sion engineer. He is a Fellow of theA.I.E.E. and a Senior Member of theI.R.E. The meeting of the American Society ofSafety Engineers which President Wil-liam V. Kahler of the Illinois Bell Tele-phone Company addressed in Chicago lastFall was held in conjunction with themeeting of the National Safety Council. (Continued on page 248)
