Then the kings butler, who had been inprison with Joseph, said, There is a man in prison who cantell you. And the king sent for Joseph. Pharaoh had dreamed that he stood by the river. Sevenfat cows were feeding on the bank. But seven lean cowscame and ate them up. He dreamed again: Seven full earsgrew on one stalk, and seven thin ears ate them up. SaidJoseph: The seven fat cows and full ears are seven goodyears. The seven lean cows and thin ears are seven hardyears. Now find a man that will gather grain and fill thebarns full before the hard years come. Whom do you think the king chose? Joseph. God waswith Joseph, And Pharaoh put his ring on Josephs finger and a goldchain around his neck. The people bowed their knees whenJoseph came riding in the kings chariot. Joseph gatheredbarns full of grain in the good years. He was thirty yearsold now. Gen. 4>1.
