English: Philadelphia: Centennial Photographic Co., 1876. View of the Centennial Exhibition grounds. The Centennial Exhibition was held in 1876 in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia to commemorate the anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. On the far left, the government building stands with its hexagonal dome. The dome of the Art Gallery (Memorial Hall) and the towers of the 21.5-acre-long Main Exhibition building occupy the background.
