The Black-throated Green Warbler nests in pine for-ests from southern Kew England northward, arrivingfrom the South about May 1 and re-Green Warbler maining until Octol)er. Its nest isDendroiai vhriis. Usually placed in pine trees; its eggs Plate LXI. ^^.g ^yiiite, spotted and speckled with dark brown. The songs of many Warblers are possessed of so littlecharacter that the best description conveys no idea ofthem, but the quaint see-zee, see-ee, zee of the Black-throated Green, which Mr. Burroughs writes y —> will be readily recognized. The Myrtle or Yellow-rumped Warbler nests from northern Kew England northward, and in winter is the Myrtle Warbler, ^^ly Warbler to remain in the North- Lendroica coronata. em States, being often found as far Plate LXI. north as JSTew York city, when its favorite food of bayberries can be procured.
