Blade : Mesolithic
Description
English: A complete flint blade of Mesolithic date (9500-4300 BC). The lithic is sub-rectangular in profile, the dorsal surface contains three predominant negative scars with corresponding arrises. There is a rounded aspect to the proximal right hand edge and fine retouch to the right hand edge. The distal end has been abruptly blunted and there is a minor amount of cortex retained at the distal left hand edge. The ventral surface is slightly concave with a small bulb of percussion at the proximal end.

The flint is a light cream is grey in colour, the cortex is a light cream.
