Description
English: Railway track, Moyenville, France, during World War I. A line of British soldiers climbing up the embankment where, according to the original caption, the Moyenville railway track had been removed by the Germans. Moyenville was one of the small villages south of Arras, on the railway between Amiens and Compiegne.

By removing the rails and sleepers, the Germans were delaying the immediate use of the line by the Allies to move troops and supplies.
