Flowers are upright, starlike in form, deep vermilion. Blooms in July, 6 to 18 inches high. Plant four inches deep. Perfectly hardy. Each, 20c; dozen $2.00; 100 $15.00. Lilium Longiflorum Giganteum Easter Lily—Not Hardy—Ready October This is the lily commonly grown for Easter blooming. The larger bulbs produce more blooms. Small bulbs 7-9 inches in circumference. Each, 20c; dozen, $1.75; 100, $12.00. Medium bulbs 8-10 inches in circumference. Each, 25c; dozen, $2.25; 100, $17.00. Mammoth bulbs 9-10 inches in circumference. Each, 30c; dozen, $3.00. 100, $20.00. Jumbo bulbs 10-11 in. in circumference. Each, 45c; doz., $4.50; 100, $35.00. Extra Jumbo 11-13 in. Each, 60c; dozen, $6.00; 100, $45.00. Lilium Pardalinum—Ready October (Leopard or Panther Lily)—A late June flowering lily of rich scarlet and yellow, spotted rich brown from the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. Ten to thirty flowers on a 5-6 foot stem. Each, 25c; doz., $2.50; 100, $18.00. Lilium Philadelphicum—Ready October (Wild Red Lily)—The flowers are three to four inches in diameter, produced one to five on a stem, one to three feet high. The color is bright orange-red, tinged yellow in center and spotted deep purple, with red anthers. Blooms during June and early July. Each, 20c; doz., $2.00; 100, $15.00. Lilium Phillipinense Formosanum—Late October A refined and graceful Lily with long grassy foliage, and long wide-mouthed trumpet flowers of the purest white, slightly marked externally with reddish brown. The plants grow to a height of 2-3 feet, are very robust and offer great resistance to wind and weather. It is hardy, very fragrant and one of the loveliest of the new varieties. Each, 25c; doz., $2.50; 100, $18.00. Lilium Regale—Ready October (Illustrated on Page 31.) The large, trumpet-shaped flowers are snowy white, with a pure yellow center, while the exterior of the petals is slightly tinged pink. It is a strong grower, attaining the height of three or four feet. The flowers are beautiful, possessing a delightful fragrance. The bulb, which should be given good, sharp drainage (as should all lilies), is perfectly hardy, usually presenting a dried, shriveled appearance. First Size, 6-7 in. in circumference. Each, 15c; doz., $1.50; 100, $10.00. Select Size. 7-8 in. in circumference. Each, 20c; doz., $2.00; 100, $15.00. Mammoth Size, 8-9 in. in circumference. Each, 25c; doz., $2.50; 100, $18.00. Lilium Speciosum Rubrum (Magnificum) (The Lance-Leaved Lily)—Ready November (Illustrated on Page 31.) 'I he typical form is white, flushed pink, and heavily spotted with carmine. The stem is about four feet high and has fresh, green, lance- shaped leaves, and the frilly flowers face downward and carelessly roll back their petals, while the stamens and pistil curl way out. A very beautiful lily, perfectly hardy, very seldom diseased, and a late Aug. and early Sept. bloomer. Plant the bulbs eight to ten inches deep. Our bulbs are treated with a special disinfectant which prevents decay. First Size. (8-9), each, 20c; dozen, $2.00; 100, $15.00. Mammoth Size (9-11), each, 30c; dozen, $3.00; 100, $20.00. Jumbo Size (11-13), each 40c; dozen, $4.00; 100, $30.00. Sunset Lily—Ready October Because of its ease of culture, rapidity of increase and its extreme hardiness, the new Sunset Lily is certain to achieve widespread favor. Height 5-6 ft. with 10 or more flowers to the stalk. This lily is bright red in color, the central portion being a bright yellow with dark spots. Stems are straight and strong with no tendency to droop. Not par- ticular as to soil, it will thrive in full sun or partial shade, and while it appreciates good drainage, a liberal amount of water during the growing season pays good dividends in larger blossoms and greater height. July flowering. Large bulbs, each, 35c; doz., $3.50.

MOSAIC-FREE LILY BULBS For those who have had trouble with mosaic disease, we are glad to offer, for the first time, a limited quantity of American-grown bulbs, free from mosaic. They should be planted in soil in which lilies have never been grown and at some distance from other lily plantings. Ready October 15th Centifolium. A giant among lilies, with long, trumpet-shaped whits flowers, streaked outside with brown and flushed inside with yellow at the base of the trumpet. LILIUM CENTIFOLIUM Creclman Seedling^ Beautiful trumpet lilies grown from the seed of the famous Oeorge C. Creelman Hybrid. Flowers resemble Lilium Regale of truest type, with bronzy tones more pronounced and a more intensely yellow throat. Two weeks later than Regale, growing 6 feet tall in good environment, as many as 35 flowers on a stalk. One of the hardiest. L. Regale Hybrid. Of unknown origin, found growing in a bed of Lilium Regale. Over six feet in height with tall pyramidal flower stalk Flowers just after Regale and just ahead of Sulphur-gale. Shelburne Hybrid. This lily is the result of a cross between L. Regale and the beautiful L. Sargentiae. A tall grower with very large trumpet. Sulphur-gale Hybrids. These beautiful lilies were obtained by crossing L. Sulphureum with L. Regale. Larger and taller than Regale and flowering two weeks later. Prices for any of the above: 5-6 inch—Each, 50c; doz., $5.00. 6-7 inch—Each, 60c; doz., $6.00. Lilium Superbum—Ready October (Illustrated on Page 31.) (American Turk's Cap, Swamp Lily)—The most magnificent and showy of the native North American species, well worthy of extensive culture. This splendid lily produces from ten to forty flowers of brilliant orange-scarlet, shaded yellow and spotted purplish brown at the base, with red anthers, in late July and August. This lily requires an acid condition and should be planted at least 8 inches deep. Height, 3-8 feet. Each, 20c; dozen. $2.00; loo, $15.00. Lilium Testaceum (The Nankeen Lily, Excelsum, Isabellum)—Ready November A cross of the Madonna lily with the scarlet turks-cap, Chalce- donicum. It grows as high as six feet. There are three to ten flowers, three to four inches across. They are nodding, with reflexed, waxy, glistening petals, rounded at the tips, and of a creamy peach color popularly known as Nankeen yellow. It blooms at the same time as the Madonna lily. Large Size. Each, $1.25; Doz., $12.50. Medium Size, Each, $1.00; Doz., $10.00. Lilium Tigrinum Splendens—Ready October (Tiger Lily)—(Illustrated on Page 31.) Because it is so widely cultivated in this country this lily has come to be looked upon as native. The flowers are orange, spotted purple, opening in August and September on 2-4 foot stems. Each, 20c; dozen, $2.00; 100, $15.00. Lilium Umbellatum—Ready October (Illustrated on Page 31.) (Subspecies of Davuricum) This group of lilies is of hybrid origin, and thrives in American gardens borders, multiplying and enduring. They are early flowering, blooming during the first part of June. Usually attaining the height of two to three feet, they carry four to six flowers of cup-shape. Mixed. Each, 25c; doz., $2.50; 100, $18.00. Lily of the Valley—Ready October For Outdoor Planting—They do best in a shady place. Fortin Variety—The finest of all. Very large foliage, tall stems and magnificent bells recommend it for decorative use. Doz. $1.50 per 100 $10.00. Clumps. Each, 60c, three for $1.50; doz., $6.00. Lilium Willmottiae—Ready October A beautiful and rather rare lily from China. Well grown specimens often carry more than twenty brilliant orange-red flowers, three inches across. The entire plant has a slender, graceful appearance. Each, 45c; doz., $4.50. Lilium Tenuifolium—Ready October (Illustrated on Page 31.) The lovely Coral Lily of Siberia. A great beauty. The brightest of all lilies. Grows 20 inches high, with finely cut foliage, slender stems and beautifully shaded coral-red flowers. One ought to grow them by the dozen, they are so fine for cutting and making clumps for the lawn. Blooms very early. Each, 15c; dozen. $1.50; 100, $10.00.
