Description
English: In response to an article about the United States Sanitary Commission that made no mention of the Western Sanitary Commission, describes the great things that the Western Sanitary Commission has accomplished for the Union. Describes the turmoil in Missouri and St. Louis at the onset of the war; provides information about the creation of the Commission and its first meetings; praises volunteers and contributors in general for their generosity; and discusses whether or not the St. Louis Commission should reorganize as a "Branch" of the United States Commission.
