English: Folio 8, plate 8 of a series of 12. Design for a vase to be executed in metal, placed on a pedestal. On the body, a scene of four nude women. The handle at left is composed of a feathered bird stretched across the body of the vase, its neck forming the handle curve and its beak prying open the lid at top. The right handle a sharper geometric form resting upon a mask. Leafy garland draped from the right handle to the pedestal. Garden wall indicated in background. |
