English: Bow, (violin), brazilwood, round slightly concave stick. Alternating black and tan (whalebone or imitation) lapping with faded leather at each end. Octagonal section above frog, octagonal nickel silver button with mother of pearl eye. Moveable ebony frog, nickel silver frog lining and nickel silver edging matching back plate, mother of pearl parasian eyes with whale bone ourter ring. Ebony and bone slide (five pieces), nicekl silver ferrule connects white horse hair, bone tip facing. 1 bow maker unknown, Germany, 20th century brazilwood, bone, ebony, nickel-silver, mother-of-pearl, (whalebone), length 745 mm, weight 62.0 g stamped ‘CONSERVATORY’ and ‘GERMANY’ 1998.60.397
