Description
English: Incomplete cast copper alloy T-shaped brooch with fully enclosed tubular wings and a tapering bow which has an old break about half way down the bow. Length 18.2mm, width 23.4mm. The wings are 5mm in diameter. Pin missing. The bow is circular in section at the break. At each end of the wings are two circumferential grooves. On the front of the brooch, at the junctions between the bow and the wings, are two oblique moulded ribs. A median and tapering groove on the front of the bow extends downwards about 12mm from the top of the bow. The iron axis bar to hold a hinged pin is visible at each end of the wings.
