Some of these varieties are of themost eccentric formation. The Pouter, for instanceFig. 82 . can puff out the crop to marvelous dimen-sions. The nuns and jacobins have a curious ar-rangement of feathers about the neck and head,and the fantails show a rare spread of wings andtail.
