Description
English: Brig. Gen. Davis, Commander, 3 Commando Brigade Royal Marines, and Colonel Mark J. Desens, Commanding Officer, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, watch as a Landing Craft Air Cushioned boards USS Kearsarge, July 22, 2010. Exercise "Operation Auriga '10" was a simultaneous bilateral carrier-integration and amphibious training exercise with British naval and Marine forces that was conducted during COMPTUEX. The 26th MEU and Amphibious Squadron 4 conducted the three-week COMPTUEX in preparation for their deployment this fall. During COMPTUEX, 26th MEU will prepare for its Certification Exercise in August by integrating and finalizing communications and mission procedures.
