English: Brisé fan. Ivory sticks, painted gilded and varnished. Obverse: large cartouche enclosing an outdoor scene with figures under a canopy, putti and a woman serving wine. Gorge showing a chinoiserie scene of figures with umbrellas at a table. Reverse: large cartouche enclosing an outdoor scene with two figures by a sea with boats. Tortoiseshell thumb guard; silk connecting ribbon; mother-of-pearl washer at the rivet.
