Title
Bronze Age Leather Working Knife
Description
English: An incomplete late Bronze Age copper-alloy leather-working knife (c. 1000 BC-801 BC).

This implement is very similar to a chisel. It probably would have had a tang and collar prior to being broken. The surviving part, the blade, is sub-triangular in plan. It flares in width from the top towards the curved cutting edge. The cutting edge curves evenly. There are no casting seams.

This implement has a mid-green patina with some small areas of corrosion. The break, which is oval in cross-section, may not be very old.

Height: 43.2mm; width: 43.4mm; thickness: 5.4mm. Weight: 26.49g.
