Title
Bronze Age flint borer
Description
English: A borer or piercer fabricated on a natural flake of light brown, mottled flint. The flake is sub-triangular in plan. One face is free of cortex whilst the opposing face retains a small area of light brown cortex. The flake has been extensively, but crudely worked using long, scaled, abrupt and semi-abrupt retouch. A point has been created and finished by removing two spalls from the tip downwards. This crude type of tool, utilising a natural flake, is typical of flint working during later Prehistory.
