Title |
Bronze Age flint scraper |
||
Description |
English: A scraper fabricated on a natural flake of dark brown flint with areas of off-white cortex on both faces. One edge of the flake has been worked, predominantly from one side only, using short, scaled, semi-abrupt retouch to form a scraping edge. One small area has been worked from the opposite side using short, scaled, semi-abrupt retouch to create a small, concave notch. This crude type of tool, utilising a natural flake, is typical of flint working during later Prehistory. |
