Title
Bronze Age flint scraper
Description
English: A scraper fabricated on a natural flake of mottled, orange-brown flint. The flake is sub-triangular in plan with a large area of off-white cortex on one face, the opposing face being free of cortex. The flake has been worked across one side using invasive, scaled, low-angle retouch to create a concave scraping edge. The flake is also worked at one end to produce a wide point using short, scaled, semi-abrupt retouch. This crude type of tool, utilising a natural flake, is typical of flint working during later Prehistory.
