Title |
Bronze Age lithic implement |
||
Description |
English: A small, sub-oval, flint, thumbnail scraper. The scraper has been made from a primary flake of dark brown flint. There is a clear bulb of percussion at the proximal end of the flake, with ripples of percussion across the ventral face.The dorsal face is largely covered in a thick, off-white cortex, mottled with red-brown flecks. The scraper has been abruptly and steeply pressure flaked around 90% of its edge.
These types of small thumbnail scrapers date to the Early Bronze Age. |
