Title
Bronze Age scraper
Description
English: Large oval scraper made from a primary flake removed from a flint pebble. The domed dorsal face is covered with pebble flint cortex except around the edges where it has been removed by retouch. The ventral side is plain apart from some possible use-wear chips, it has a very defuse, soft bulb and ripples. Around half the edge on the dorsal face is long, abrupt, parallel retouch. It becomes invasive and more semi-abrupt around one side and is also longer at the point opposite this side with the edges between these areas having shorter scalar retouch and in some areas none at all. It is made on dark grey-brown flint. It is 44.4mm long, 40.7mm wide and 18.2mm thick; it weighs 35.0 grams.

The form suggests a Bronze Age date, 2100-800 BC.
