BULBS IN no other class of plants are their such un-usual possibilities for satisfaction and enjoy-ment as may be found in the spring floweringbulbs. They are even more wonderful in theirlatent possibilities than seeds, for stored beneaththeir coverings are not only the vital germ butfood for their whole sphere of existance—root, stem and flower. The amateur gardener, due to natures effortsto insure success, demands no handicap from theprofessional. He has a splendid opportunity toenjoy in his own home or garden the exquisitebeauty and fragrance of the Hyacinth, Narcissusor Tulip. Planting is a simple task and they de-mand a minimum of care. The professional grower or connoisseur rea-lizes the ease of culture and from year to yearmay renew his enjoyment by more intimate ac-quaintance with the different varieties and spec-ies. Each has its point of merit, its individualityand reason for being in our list. The cost from first to last in specie or inlabor is almost neghgible as comparedbulbsseedsautumn1920dmfe
