20 FERRY-MORSE SEED CO. New Early Flowering Sweet Peas For 1931 LONG STEMMED NOVELTIES Early Greeting (LONG STEM) We are delighted to be able to offer a really long stemmed, clear lavender Early Sweet Pea. We are most enthusiastic over Early Greeting' as we consider it the greatest lavender Sweet Pea in the Early Flowering section. It is easily the clearest of all laven- der Sweet Peas. The standard and wings carry the same soft, even coloring throughout, and whether grown under glass or in the open, the color is mag- nificent in its soft, clear, laven- der tone. The flowers are extremely large, are nicely waved, and the four blooms are well placed on long stems. We feel we cannot say too much in favor of Early Greeting, and we know it will be a great favorite, whether grown for profit or pleasure. 25c Per Packet. Early Pride (LONG STEM) We have no hesitation in offering Early Pride as a welcome addition to the long stemmed varieties which we have introduced and which are now finding so much favor. Early Pride is a pure cerise, of most even coloring, deeper in shade than Early Sunray, with large flowers borne on long stems. It is very common to have four flowers to the stem, ?.nd when grown in the open, we found four flowers were the rule rather than the ex- ception. The flowers are well frilled and are borne in profusion. 25c Per Packet. Early Fancy (LONG STEM) As the name implies, this is a unique Early Flowering Sweet Pea. The color is old rose on cream ground, deepening towards the middle of the standard and the edges of the wings. The flower has the appearance of being flaked heavily although it is not a regu- lar striped or flaked flower. A bunch effect is most striking and visitors to our Trials have been very favorably impressed with Early Fancy. It is an unusually large flower and the stems are extremely long. The flowers are beautifully placed on the stems, and the growth is vigorous. Be- cause of its vigorous growth, long stems, large flowers and unique coloring. Early Fancy will be popu- lar in garden and greenhouse alike. 25c Per Packet.
