En résumé, les modifications demplacement et dinclinaison quesubissent, à des degrés divers, les secondes incisive^ inférieures des Car-nivores, résultent, dune manière directe, de phénomènes très simples,portant sur lensemble des incisives inférieures et retentissant surtout surles secondes en raison de leur rang déruption. Ces modifications neparaissent nullement en relation avec un rôle spécial de ces dernièresdents. Elles peuvent, a leur degré maximum, donner à la dentition decertains Carnivores un caractère assez particulier, voire même assezanormal, pour quil mait paru intéressant den suivre les variations etden rechercher la genèse.
