NEW AND SPECIAL FLOWER SEEDS. 121 1 : Perennial Chrysanthemums. Perennial Chrysanthemums cross-fertilize with such wonderful variety that rarely two plants flower alike; all the colors, markings, and shapes known in Chrysanthemums, and uow and then an extremely valuable new variety, may be expected. The great prize-winning sorts shown at the Chrysanthemum shows, of which single varieties have been sold for over §500.00, were originally gotten from seed no better hybrid- ized than this Ave now offer. This seed is saved from a superb collection of the latest novelties, the great incurved Japanese, the closely petaled Chinese, the graceful Anemones, the dis- tinct Pompons, etc., the most distinct types of which are shown in our illustration. The seed will germinate quickly, and the plants require only the culture given other flowers. However, that none may fear failure, careful cultural direc- tions are printed on each packet. We offer this extra choice Chrysanthemum Seed, ,. of all colors and varieties mixed, at a low price. Per pkt. 15 cts.; or 2 pkts. for 25 cts.

new strain of Large-leaved Col- eus has been so improved since it was first offered that it is now simply superb. The matchless plants are very vigorous â and healthy, growing in a short time to an unusuaiiy large size. The leaves are really wonderful, ex-M tremely large, and of lasting substance, curled and'serrated in a beau- tiful manner ; the colors, variegations, and markings are regally rich and brilliant. The diversity of shades and combinations of colors are most agreeable.âseldom is it possible to find two plants alike. With all their bril- liant beauty the plants are as easily grown from seed as the common Coleus. In our beds at Fordhook Farm the past summer we frequently measured leaves ten to thirteen inches long by nine and twelve inches broad. In order to see to just what size these giant beauties can be grown, WE OFFER $100.00 IN CASH PRIZES FOR 1895. We will pay a first prize of $50.00 cash, a second prize of §25.00 cash, a third prize of $10.00, and fourth, fifth, and sixth prizes each of $5.00 for the largest leaves mailed (pressed flat between card-board) to us by our customers on or before September 15, 1895. This interesting competition is free to all, the only restriction "being that we will not allow any one customer to carry off more than one prize. Per pkt. 15 cts.; 2 pkts. for 25 cts.; 4 pkts. for 50 cts.
